The word 'hori' means 'to dig' in Japanese. Not only does this hori hori knife have a sharp cutting edge and a serrated side, but the blade is also hollow, so it can function as a shovel as well. Because of the practical measurement indication you will never dig too deep.

Le petit hori hori classique pour ceux qui n'ont pas un de jardin mais des balcons ou des plantes en pot! Aussi joli qu'efficace ! Je ne peux plus m'en passer.

I have the longer version, and bought a couple of these shorter ones. One of my favourite garden tools for planting, weeding etc. stays in my pocket with a pair of secateurs every time I’m in the garden. 

It’s very sharp out of the box, so fingers beware. 

Absolutely delighted. I bought two. One for me and one for my brother in law as gardening Christmas present. Would highly recommend this product.
