The Skerper Stropping Compound comes in different grain sizes. From very coarse to very fine.

* Green: medium (approximately grain 5000)

* Red: fine (approximately grain 7000)

* Black: ultra-fine (approximately grain 10.000

## How do you apply a stropping compound


Before use you need to heat up the strop. You can do so by holding it over a gas flame, or heat it with a blow dryer or paint stripper. Do, however, be careful that you don’t burn the strop or yourself! You should also heat up the compound after which you can spread it out over the compound. Especially when you use the grey (coarse) compound, properly preheating is a must.
