Atoma Diamond Stone Replacement Sheet #140 Economy replacement sheet

Bought this to stick to the back of my atoma 400 to turn it into a double sided diamond plate. I use these to reprofile blades. I like 25 degree bevels on bushcraft knives and most come with bevels of 27 - 30 degrees. I’ve used this to reprofile about 11 blades so far and still going strong. Cuts very fast and works as a lapping stone for Japanese water stones.

I got this replacement sheet and instead of using the original base plate, I made one myself, out of float glass. Mdf board might work just as well, if you use it without water. 140 grit is very aggressive. With proper technique followed by a strop you can easily get a good working edge on knives. If you don't care much for gliding effortlessly through paper, this could be your only sharpening "stone".
