The **ESEE Model 6** is one of the most popular survival knives. This ESEE Model 6 HM is a modified version of that classic. The blade is the same as the regular ESEE 6, but the handle has changed considerably .At the request of bush crafters and hunters, the grip was made rounder. The finger groove also disappeared. As such the knife is great for detailed tasks.

  The blade of the ESEE 6HM is made from 1095 carbon steel. A type of steel that is not stainless. Fortunately, the blade is protected by an extremely durable powder coating. The wonderful usage qualities of the steel guarantee a lifetime of pleasure. The full tang blade is enhanced with a micarta handle. The handle feels slightly coarse which is great for grip and comfort. The ESEE 6 is large enough to give your hands enough room without it becoming a colossal knife.

 The ESEE Model 6HM includes a leather sheath.

Un très beau couteau et outil pour le bushcraft je recommande sans hésitation 

Eigentlich ein erstaunlich gut durchdachtes Messer, das durch seine Ausgewogenheit und Handhabbarkeit überzeugt. Für mich das erste sehr große Messer, das mich überzeugt hat.

Die Verarbeitung des Messers selber ist sehr gut, die Beschichtung der Klinge erstklassig - wenn man denn unbedingt an Karbonstahl festhalten will. 

Die Scheide dagegen ist eher gut gemeint als gut gemacht. Dickes Leder, aber fast formlos. Ziemlich wenig Haftung (im Vergleich zu Joker, Casström u.a.)  und bei kräftigem Einstecken kommt unten die Spitze der Klinge durch die Aussparung. So etwas dürfte nicht passieren.

Habe das Messer im Abgebot gekauft und den Preis ist es wert. Bei vollem Preis hätte ich mich geärgert.

Un couteau vraiment polyvalent, fiable et robuste. Les modifications par rapport au premier model sont parfaites, la prise en main est très bonne pour le buschcraft et les gros travaux même sous la pluie. Il est possible de faire des travaux de précision aussi mais cela n est pas son point fort évidemment. Le poids est mieux réparti sur le couteau, ce qui lui permet d être plus efficace comme mini machette. Couplé avec un petit Mora et vous êtes prêt.
