i had heard the A1 called the best survival knife. it's the most expensive knife i have bought to date. it is heavy. i wish it was lighter. but it is very light if compared to the m.o.d. survival, becker bk2 or any kukri i've owned. i am thrilled by its performance. it is surprisingly dexterous. its carving, fine and heavy, belies the 6mm spine. it is a noticeably better survival knife than any other i have or have come across. if in doubt check the destruction test on youtube!:)
