The Opinel pocket knife with wooden handle. Manufactured in 1890  by Joseph Opinel, this handy knife was originally designed for use by local farmers. The Opinel pocket knife is a renowned, yet really affordable pocket knife, ideal for everyday use.

The **Opinel No. 8** is the perfect example of an Opinel pocket knife with a wooden handle. Originally made for farmers in 1890 by Joseph Opinel. The Opinel pocket knife is a famous, but very affordable pocket knife for daily use.

The larger models are enhanced with the simple but effective Virobloc lock. It is formed by the ring that rotates around the pivot. As such the blade is locked in place. A true classic.

This knife is enhanced with a carbon steel blade. It is thin, easy to sharpen and still very strong. Carbon steel, however, is a little more sensitive to rust than stainless steel and, therefore, needs to be kept clean and dry. Een ontwerp dat perfect is in z'n eenvoud. Fijn in de hand liggend houten heft, geweldig lemmet, dun en gemaakt van carbonstaal. 
Goed met de keramische staaf of met een steen te slijpen. 
Het lemmet goed drogen voordat u het dichtklapt en het mes opbergt. Af en toe wat olie aanbrengen (bijv. Ballistol).
Ongeëvenaarde prijskwaliteitverhouding. Uiteraard gebruikt ik de Opinel 8 al langere tijd. Dit exemplaar is gekocht als cadeau voor een man. 

Magnifique couteau de poche. Très utile, léger et esthétique de part le mariage de l'acier et du bois . J'ai choisi particulièrement une lame carbone, car avec le temps, l'acier prendra une superbe teinte.
