The No.6 is just the right size for my pocket,I have always carried a pocket knife and this French one is my best. I also carry a sharpener to keep the edge. Thank you. Regards Keith Hawkesley

the steel is very strong and holds an amazing edge it needed an extra sharpen from when it arrived to make it razor honed and it is quite a thin blade, i use it for whittling wood and i do worry it may snap as it is quite thin butr other than that fantastic knife

For a number of years I have used an Opinel No 9. However increasing concerns about carrying knives in public places caused me to buy the significantly smaller No. 6. I had reservations as to how such a relatively small knife might feel in the hand and how useful a tool it could be. It took time to get used to the much smaller handle , but has proved to be a vey useful pocket knife that as expected can be brought to a very sharp edge that it holds well. Of course I still use the larger knife when gardening or out backpacking where a more robust knife is called for but the No.6 is an effective tool to be kept to hand for lighter work.

Bought this for my dad as he has one when he was a young lad, apart from the handle being slightly different he said it was amazing how they quality is still as good after all these years. It arrived well packaged and within the delivery time quoted. Made for an amazing Father's Day gift.
