Flashlights selected by lumens: for each purpose the right amount of light
How many lumens do I need? It is the first question often asked when looking for a good flashlight. After all, the more lumens, the better. Right? You need to know that the amount of lumens doesn't say anything about the beam distance of the light. Two flashlights with the same amount of lumen do not have to be as bright or shine as far. Today the most used LED lights produce more than enough lumen for most tasks in and around the house and at the campsite. As soon as you are looking for an extreme amount of light the amount of lumen will be more important.
