This flashlight has four light modes: High (533 or 543 lumens), momentary on (the Maglite will only work if the switch is held down), low (energy saving) and stroboscope. You can reach the different modes by shortly pressing the tactical switch at the back once up to four times in a row. The charging station you use to charge the Maglite Mag-Tac R is designed as such to make sure it will fit inside the cup holder in your car. Of course you can also place it on your desk or workbench. You can easily charge it with a random USB-port, but also with a 12V cigarette lighter in your car or simply in a wall socket.

The tactical Maglite flashlights are designed with the input from police and military. Constructed to be used in the most extreme circumstances, at home or in a professional situation. 


The Maglite Mac-Tac is available in two versions. The version with the plain bezel around the head of the light and the tactical version. The tactical version has been enhanced with a crowned bezel. And then there is the rechargeable and non-rechargeable version.
