Old Bear knives: traditionally produced in Italy
Old Bear is a part of the Antonini Knives knife group. Ever since 1925 they have traditionally been producing classic pocket knives. All knives are produced in the knife capital of Italy: Maniago. The Old Bear brand emerged in 2015 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Antonini Knives. Because of their years of experience, they produce top-quality knives.
What makes Old Bear knives unique?
The first thing you notice is how lightweight the knives actually are. It is the result of the thin blade and the laminated wood that was used for the handle. The wood is often also enhanced with a stunning colour.
Old Bear is very environmentally conscious and aims for a small ecological footprint. To achieve this, they use a lot of environmentally friendly materials and production methods. Even the packaging has been given a lot of thought, as it is made of recycled cardboard.
Each Old Bear knife is enhanced with a unique lock. This ring lock, also called 'Lupo' or 'Wolf' is rock-solid. Once fully opened you can easily lock the knife with one hand. Closing the lock is easy and can also be done with one hand. The lock is what distinguishes Old Bear from comparable knife brands.
