Features of the Wuben G5
A torch only helps if you have it with you. At 52 grams, the G5 fits onto your keyring without you even noticing it, yet delivers up to 400 lumens and 1,681 candela. The rotary dial adjusts the brightness continuously, so you do not click through fixed modes but turn it to the amount of light you need. In the lowest mode, it runs for up to 65 hours.
The torch head rotates 180 degrees, and the adjustable clip lets you attach the G5 to your cap, bag or the edge of a crawl space. The tailcap has a magnet for attaching the torch to metal surfaces. In addition to white light, the G5 provides red, green and blue light, plus a beacon mode and a dual-colour flashing mode for when you want to be seen. Red light preserves your night vision.
When do you choose a keychain light?
A keychain light does not replace a full-size torch, but it’s the one you always seem to have with you: when your bike light fails, when you’re locking your bike in the dark, or when you’re in a crawl space. You can fully charge the built-in 450 mAh battery via USB-C in approximately one and a half hours, and you can continue using the torch while it charges.
