 The ESEE RB3 is a very nice bushcrafting knife from the Camp-Lore series, designed by Reuben Bolieu. This knife is ideal for lighter tasks and fine wood-cutting. The micarta handle lies great in your hand, even when you have larger hands. It offers plenty of grip and helps to use the razor-sharp blade with exceptional precision. This blade is full-tang (which means it runs through the whole handle) and is made of 1095 carbon steel. Unlike many other carbon steel ESEE knives, this does not have a coating but has a stonewashed finish. This gives the steel a cool look, but makes it more susceptible to rust. Drying it thoroughly after use and the occasional drop of oil will work miracles for this knife. ESEE decided not to coat the knife so to allow users to create their own patina on the blade

The back of the blade has no finish which makes using a firesteel child's play. This underlines how the design of the knife is focused around use. The blade is sharpened in a traditional scandi-grind. A razor-sharp and thin cut is the result. Because the edge is so thin it cuts like no other. Fine carvings and feather sticking is remarkably easy. However, you do have to be careful with the thin edge. ESEE says the following about this:




 ***This knife has a Scandinavian ground edge making it more fragile than a normal cutting edge. It is designed for carving and general bush craft use. NOT batoning or heavy duty cutting.***


 The ESEE RB3 comes with a right-handed leather belt sheath. Maximum belt width: 5.8 cm.

i have lots of Eese knives but not the scandi grind blade. excellent quality and dimensions and there 1095 steel is as good as it gets. sheath is a good snug fit. very happy with this purchase.

The knife feels amazing and very robust. I use olive oil to prevent rust and so far it has no rust at all. I use the knife for bushcraft and camping and i own it for 2 years. The only problem i had is that the first time i used it to craft tent pegs the blade chiped, but you can fix that with some sharpening.

Can’t say a great deal about the knife as I haven’t got to use it as much as I’d like due to Covid. However what little I have done with it has impressed me. 
The package was dispatched and delivered quickly and was very well packed. 
I have used this website a few times now and it is the only place I look online for my purchases. Highly recommended.

nice sized knife really sharp out of the box not recommended for batting but  for carving ,feather sticks ,general camp chorus  gust the job. good sheath .
