Well, it seems I am turning into a Fällkniven collector. Bought the F1 standard version first, liked it so much I added the F1x (full tang). This version, the Pro falls between those other two. Same blade shape and thickness as the X, but same handle as the original version. That might make it redundant - except that it is quickly turning into the knife I am most likely to take with me. Very comfortable, nimble and easy to use despite the thick spine, scaring sharp and with the usual tip top fit and finish. I was initially skeptical regarding the use of a convex grind (like high quality axes have), but the blade geometry makes this an excellent cutter, while maintaining very high edge stability. Not cheap, but you do get one of the best knives available in the world.

The knife is very well made as you'd expect from this maker and for me, offered a great balance between heavy duty work and finer control. It is certainly a capable piece of kit and retains the traditional unobtrusive qualities of the normal F1. The package overall is a good buy given the inclusion of a DC4. In short, I'm pleased I got it
