Features of the Messermeister Oliva Luxe series

Oliva Luxe blade: polished by hand

The knives are forged from one piece of German 1.4116 stainless steel. The steel is hardened to a hardness of around 58 HRC. As a result, the knife retains its sharpness for a long time when used correctly. Polishing a knife is a part of the process many manufacturers cut back on to save costs. However, polishing is also what makes Messermeister stand out with this collection. Each blade is polished by hand on a fabric wheel. This gives the knife the sharpest possible edge, so it's razor sharp straight out of the box.

Oliva Luxe handle: sophisticated olive wood

The handles of these knives are made from Mediterranean olive wood. The light-brown wood has a lively pattern with dark brown lines. The knife feels great in hand thanks to the rounded corners of the handle. As olive wood is a natural product, the handle of each knife is unique! Besides the fact that olive wood looks beautiful, it is also a very durable type of wood. Olive trees grow very slowly, meaning the wood has a high density. In addition, olive wood is an oil-rich wood. This makes the wood naturally water-repellent. Stains and discolouration caused by food also do not occur easily on olive wood.
