Miyabi 5000MCD 67 kitchen knives: the best of the best

The Miyabi 5000MCD 67 collection is the absolute top collection from the Miyabi by Zwilling range. These knives are characterized by the Cryodur blade with a core of MC66 steel. This core is laminated between 132 layers of steel. This gives the knife its remarkable 'Flower Damask' look. Thanks to a special ice hardening process at -196 degrees Celsius, the knives have a hardness of up to 66 HRC. Even by Miyabi-standards, this is incredibly high. The knives have an incredible sharpness retention because of it.

Features of the Miyabi 5000MCD 67 series

The defining feature of these kitchen knives is their blade. The shiny damascus steel has the perfect contrast to show off the playful lines. You don't often see such a dark etching with luxury knives of this kind. That is precisely what makes this series unique.

Honbazuke sharpening method

The blade is symmetrically sharpened according to the traditional Japanese Honbazuke method. During this process, each knife is sharpened and stropped in three phases. Each knife's extreme hardness ensures it stays sharp for a long time.

Miyabi 5000MCD 67 handle

Not only does the blade look amazing, the handle is a work of art too. The D-shaped handle is made from special black ash wood. This wood makes every knife unique thanks to its stunning natural markings. It looks perfect in combination with the shiny blade. The mosaic pin in the middle of the handle is the proverbial icing on the cake. It's a subtle and stunning detail which emphasizes the sublime finish on the 5000MCD 67 collection.
