Morakniv Eldris knives: compact and practical!

The most popular and the smallest Morakniv knife is the Eldris. Compact, lightweight, affordable and versatile. Thanks to the compound grind and sleek blade, this knife is more versatile than its size might make you think. Use it on camping trips for food prep or starting a fire. It will barely take up space in your backpack, and it weighs next to nothing. You could even carry it as a neck knife.

Features of Morakniv Eldris knives

The Mora Eldris is a perfect knife to expand your wood carving skills at night close to the fire, or for food prep. Use this knife as a back-up knife for smaller cutting tasks. In addition, it is a great knife to have young individuals get acquainted with outdoor knives.

Morakniv Eldris: blade

The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel and has an exceptional grind. In addition to the regular scandi edge, the 'shoulder' of this edge is thinner at the tip to ensure a lower cutting resistance. The spine on the blade is very sharp. This could appear to be a disadvantage, until you try to use a firesteel with it. The sparks will fly! You notice that this was clearly thought through.

Morakniv Eldris: handle

With its modest blade length, you might even confuse this knife for a children's knife. Don't be fooled though, this knife is very suitable for adults. The handle is made from polymer, with a TPE rubber finish around the core. Very sustainable and provides plenty of grip. The large handle gives you optimal control over the blade, this is indispensable when you're carving wood.

Morakniv Eldris

The Mora Eldris comes with a plastic sheath, without belt loop or other accessories. There are two holes at the base of the sheath for a piece of paracord. This allows you to discreetly carry the Eldris around your neck. It is also available with a firesteel, paracord and a secondary loop to make sure the knife stays in place.
